Just one day after it was announced that director Antoine Fuqua would be tackling a feature-length television documentary on Suge Knight, Variety reports that the talent is in discussions to take over Relativity’s Hunter Killer.
Originally developed for Phillip Noyce to direct, Hunter Killer adapts the unpublished novel “Firing Point” by Don Keith and George Wallace. It tells the story of a team of NAVY Seals in a submarine sent on a mission to Russia to stop an admiral from starting war with America.
Fuqua is best known for helming Training Day in 2001. He followed that with Tears of the Sun, King Arthur and, most recently, Brooklyn’s Finest.
