Isla Fischer has been named by Variety as the latest talent likely to join the cast of the upcoming Louis Leterrier film Now You See Me.
Already set to star Jesse Eisenberg, Melanie Laurent, Mark Ruffalo and Morgan Freeman, Now You See Me pits a crack FBI squad in a game of cat and mouse against a super team of the world’s greatest illusionists, who pull off a series of daring bank heists during their performances, showering the profits on their audiences while staying one step ahead of the law.
Fischer, who is currently shooting Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby, would play Henley, an expert at building the criminal team’s “magical” devices. Amanda Seyfried was previously rumored for the part.
The film, written by Boaz Yakin and Edward Ricourt, will be produced by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci via their Kurtzman Orci Paper Products production banner. Yakin will executive produce along with Kurtzman Orci Paper Products’ Bobby Cohen.
