Gwyneth Paltrow Joins Thanks For Sharing

Gwyneth Paltrow has signed on for the upcoming comedy drama Thanks For Sharing, Variety reports. She’ll join Mark Ruffalo, Tim Robbins and, also just announced, Joely Richardson.

The film, said to be about a 12-step program for recovering sex addicts in New York City, marks the directorial debut of Stuart Blumberg, who, along with Lisa Cholodenko, wrote last year’s The Kids Are All Right. He wrote Sharing as well, alongside Matt Winston.

Production is anticipated to begin soon fall in the Big Apple with Paltrow the romantic interest to Ruffalo’s character and Richardson the wife of Robbins’.

Ruffalo and Robbins head to the project following their appearances in two different emerald superhero films. Ruffalo will play the Hulk in Marvel’s The Avengers while Robbins appeared in this past summer’s Green Lantern for the Distinguished Competition. Paltrow, no stranger to comic book films herself, will likely follow Sharing with a return as Pepper Potts in Iron Man 3. Joely, meanwhile, may not yet have a comic book film under her belt, but can soon be seen in David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
