Drew Pearce, best known for his writing and producing work on the British superhero comedy series “No Heroics,” has been brought aboard to draft The Mighty, Variety reports.
Based on a comic book series by Peter J. Tomasi and Keith Champagne, the Paramount film will center on an officer in an organization called Section Omega who, after learning that a superhero, Alpha One, has a connection to a personal childhood tragedy, has to stop the renegade from destroying the Earth.
Pearce is also responsible for the script to the upcoming Iron Man 3, to be released by Walt Disney Pictures.
