“American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez is in talks to star in both Parker and What to Expect When You’re Expecting, report Deadline and Vulture.
Lopez would be joining Jason Statham in the Taylor Hackford-directed Parker, an adaptation of the Donal Westlake mytery novel series. Statham would play “a thief who follows a strict moral code, but a hard guy who’s illing to kill if crossed… Lopez plays the female lead, a character named Leslie, who gets involved with Parker as he executes a heist.” Filming is expected to begin in August.
Lopez is also in discussions for the Kirk Jones-directed What to Expect When You’re Expecting. She would play the supporting role of Holly opposite Cameron Diaz in the Lionsgate adaptation.
With shooting scheduled to start in just four weeks on “What to Expect,” Isla Fisher and Ed Helms are in talks to play parts as well. Matthew Morrison was going to star, but his schedule might not allow him to do so.
