PT Anderson’s Next Adds Two

Jesse Plemons and David Warshofsky are the latest to sign on for PT Anderon’s untitled next film, says a story at Variety.

The pair join the previously-announced Philip Seymour Hoffman in the lead role as the creator of a faith-based group in the 1950’s. Said to be loosely based on the life of L. Ron Hubbard and the creation of Scientology, the film will also star Joaquin Phoenix as Freddie, the right hand man to Hoffman’s character who ultimately begins to question the organization.

Plemons, best known his role on “Friday Night Lights,” is said to be playing Hoffman’s character’s son with Warshofky (who previously appeared in Anderson’s There Will Be Blood) in the role of a detective.

Set to begin production next month, the film will be Anderson’s first work since Blood. That film was also the only one of Anderson’s not to feature Hoffman as an actor.
