The results are in for the weekly poll, and after 20,223 votes, ComingSoon.net readers say they are anticipating Transformers: Dark of the Moon the most for the month of June. The Michael Bay-directed sequel got 37.1% of the votes. Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Ken Jeong, Patrick Dempsey, Alan Tudyk, John Turturro and Leonard Nimoy star in the film, opening in 3D, 2D and IMAX theaters on June 29.
Second place, with 21.8% of the votes, belonged to director Matthew Vaughnâs X-Men: First Class, starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, January Jones, Kevin Bacon, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemyng, Oliver Platt, Morgan Lily, Zoe Kravitz and Bill Bilner. The well-reviewed movie (read our review) opens in theaters this Friday.
Third place belonged to Green Lantern with 19.9% of the votes. The Martin Campbell-directed adaptation opens in 3D and 2D theaters on June 17 and stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Angela Bassett, Tim Robbins, Temuera Morrison, Jay O. Sanders, Taika Waititi, Jon Tenney, Geoffrey Rush and Michael Clarke Duncan.
Coming in at No. 4 with 16.5% of the votes was J.J. Abramsâ Super 8, which is set to hit conventional and IMAX theaters on June 10. The secretive film stars Kyle Chandler, Elle Fanning, Joel Courtney, Gabriel Basso, Noah Emmerich, Ron Eldard, Riley Griffiths, Ryan Lee and Zach Mills.
Weâre guessing our readers are more looking forward to an Incredibles sequel than Cars 2, as the DisneyÂPixar sequel got just 2.5% of the votes. Opening in June 24 in 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D theaters, the movie is voiced by Owen Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy, Michael Caine, Emily Mortimer, Jason Isaacs, Joe Mantegna, Peter Jacobson, Thomas Kretschmann, Bonnie Hunt, Cheech Marin, Tony Shalhoub, Guido Quaroni, Lloyd Sherr, Paul Dooley, John Ratzenberger, Jenifer Lewis, Michael Wallis, Katherine Helmond, John Turturro, Franco Nero, Vanessa Redgrave, Eddie Izzard, Bruce Campbell, Michel Michelis, Jeff Gordon, Darrell Waltrip, Lewis Hamilton and David Hobbs.
The two major comedies followed in sixth and seventh, with the R-rated Bad Teacher (June 24) getting 1.6% of the votes and the family comedy Mr. Popperâs Penguins (June 17) receiving 0.5%. Also opening on June 10th is the family film Judy Moody and the NOT Bummer Summer, which received just 0.2% of the votes.
