Rocky Horror remake hitting DVD in December
FOX’s small-screen rethinking of Jim Sharman’s 1975 cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show (itself an adaptation of co-star Richard O’Brien’s celebrated stage musical) is coming home to DVD right in time for Christmas.
The Kenny Ortega-directed The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s Do the Time Warp Again features performances by Laverne Cox, Adam Lambert, Reeve Carney, Annaleigh Ashford, Christina Milian, Staz Nair, Ivy Levan, Ben Vereen and features a special appearance by Tim Curry, who played the malevolent and over-sexed transvestite mad doctor FrankN-Furter in the original.
Synopsis: After their car breaks down during a storm, straitlaced couple Brad and Janet (Ryan McCartan and Victoria Justice) find themselves at the eerie castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Laverne Cox, replacing Curry). The innocent duo’s mind-bending adventure escalates when their host, a sexually ambiguous mad scientist, unveils a stunning creation – a buff bodybuilder designed for her pleasure.
DVD Special Features will include:
*Extended Cut Featuring Deleted Scenes and Brad’s version of “Once in a While” sung by Ryan McCartan
*Don’t Dream It, Make It: Celebrating “Rocky Horror”
*Let’s Do The Time Warp Again: Comic-Con 2016
*Laverne Cox Screen Test
*Mick Rock Still Gallery
