The Criterion Collection this week upgrades to Blu-ray Robert Altman’s Raymond Carver ensemble Short Cuts and inducts into the collection a third Guillermo Del Toro feature with Pan’s Labyrinth. If you haven’t already picked up either Cronos or The Devil’s Backbone, you might instead want to grab this week’s Trilogía de Guillermo del Toro, which includes all three films.

The Vestron Video collector’s series continues this week with a double feature that includes Waxwork and Waxwork II: Lost in Time and a number of newly-created special features. If you missed our exclusive clip from the Blu-ray set, you can click here to check it out.

Shout! Factory’s Scream Factory label expands October 18 with a new collector’s edition of Child’s Play. There’s then further horror fare with the 2015 Danish zombie pandemic thriller What We Become. The company’s Shout Select line continues as well with the addition of the 1981 action thriller Nighthawks.

Warner Archive this week delivers a new Blu-ray edition of Body Snatchers, Abel Ferrara’s 1993 take on Don Siegel’s 1956 Red Scare parable. They’ve also got, via DVD-Rs, the second volume of their Wheeler & Woolsey RKO Comedy Classics Collection, which includes The Cuckoos (1930), Dixiana (1930), Too Many Cooks (1931), Everything’s Rosie (1931), Cockeyed Cavaliers (1934) and Silly Billies (1936). If that’s not enough, they’re also bringing to DVD the recent documentary One Day Since Yesterday: Peter Bogdanovich & The Lost American Film.

Also arriving October 18 is what’s sure to be a popular holiday gift title, the Marx Brothers: Silver Screen Collection. The legendary siblings make their Blu-ray debut in a set that includes five films: The Cocoanuts, Animal Crackers, Monkey Business, Horse Feathers and Duck Soup. Meanwhile, a more recent film classic gets an upgrade as Ang Lee’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon makes a 4K Ultra HD debut.

Small-screen titles hitting Blu-ray October 18 include the fourth season of A&E‘s Bates Motel and the complete HBO mystery serial The Night Of. Hitting DVD only is the first season of Guilt and the second half of the fifth season of MTV‘s Teen Wolf.

The week also brings us a new Blu-ray box set of the complete Downton Abbey and, via Shout! Factory, complete series DVD sets for both Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers and Power Rangers: Dino Thunder.

Speaking of Downton Abbey, October 18 also brings to DVD Julian Fellowes new drama series, Doctor Thorne.

Digital HD releases hitting October 18 include STX Entertainment’s hit R-rated comedy Bad Moms, the Eddie Murphy led drama Mr. Church and the Alexandria Daddario-led stoner comedy Baked in Brooklyn.

The courtroom drama The Whole Truth, starring Keanu Reeves and Renee Zellweger, arrives via Digital HD this Friday, October 21. We had the chance to sit down with both stars, so check back soon for our video interviews.

Rounding out the week’s HD releases is the complete first season of HBO’s recent comedy series Vice Principals, starring Danny McBride and Walton Goggins.
