Horror action sequel Stake Land 2 premieres on Syfy tomorrow night
Jim Mickle’s indie vampire apocalypse thriller Stake Land was loved by many and has since become a cult classic. Riffing on Richard Matheson’s oft-mined novel I Am Legend and echoing Cormac McCarthy’s The Road, the original film saw actor and co-writer Nick Damici and Connor Paolo drifting across the vampire plague-ravaged landscape in search of sanctuary. Much staking indeed takes place. More than a dash of sucking as well.
Now, the film has a follow-up in Stake Land 2, which once more teams Damici and Paolo as the heroic, bloodsucker slaughtering duo. Stake Land 2 premieres on Syfy this weekend, October 15 at 9pm / 8pm Central time.
Synopsis: After a personal tragedy, Martin ventures into the American badlands in search of legendary vampire hunter Mister, hoping to reteam with him against a rapidly escalating threat posed by highly evolved vampires and their frightening allies.
Stake Land 2 is directed by Dan Berk & Robert Olsen and stars Connor Paolo, Nick Damici, Laura Abramson, A.C. Peterson, Bonnie Dennison, Kristina Hughes, Steve Williams. The film is produced by Peter Phok, Larry Fessenden and Greg Newman and is written by Nick Damici.
