Warner Bros. Pictures set the release dates for three of its upcoming titles today.
First up, Tim Burton’s big screen adaptation of Dark Shadows, starring Johnny Depp, Eva Green, Jackie Earle Haley, Bella Heathcoate, Thomas McDonnell, Helena Bonham Carter and Chloe Moretz, is scheduled to hit theaters on May 11, 2012. Also scheduled to hit theaters that date are the Sacha Baron Cohen comedy The Dictator and Cameron Diaz-starrer What to Expect When You’re Expecting.
New Line/Warner Bros. has also announced that Journey 2: The Mysterious Island is coming to theaters on January 27, 2012. The sequel, featuring Dwayne Johnson, Michael Caine, Josh Hutcherson, Vanessa Hudgens, Luis Guzman and Kristen Davis, will face thriller One for the Money on that date.
Warner Bros. has announced a release date of August 10, 2012 for the Jay Roach comedy Rivals, starring Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis, as well. The other film scheduled for that date so far is G.I. Joe 2.
