Joel Schumacher has signed on to direct a suspense thriller called The Hive, Variety reports.
The film is said to focus on a female emergency line operator who, in trying to help a young girl, comes up against a killer from her own past. The script arrives from Rich D’Ovidio, who previously wrote Exit Wounds and Thir13en Ghosts.
Schumacher most recently directed the drama Twelve and is currently finishing up Trespass, another thriller which will star Nicolas Cage and Nicole Kidman.
