Two new bits of casting have emerged for the Nicolas Stoller comedy, Five-Year Engagement. Deadline and Variety report that both David Paymer and Jacki Weaver have joined the cast.
The film is said to be a bawdy, couples comedy, and charts the five-year engagement of a man (Jason Segel) and his fiancee (Emily Blunt), following the ups and downs of their relationship.
Weaver is best known for her appearance in last year’s Animal Kingdom, while Paymer has appeared in dozens of films with his next, Bad Teacher, also featuring Segel. Though there is no word on Weaver’s character, Paymer is said to be playing Segel’s character’s father this time out.
The rest of the announced cast includes Alison Brie, Chris Pratt, Rhys Ifans and Lauren Weedman. No release date has currently been announced.
