Rebecca Romijn has joined the cast of Good Deeds, the next film from writer/director Tyler Perry, Deadline reports.
Perry will star himself as Glen Deeds, a businessman who, just before his own wedding to an affluent woman, falls for a stuggling single mom. Thandie Newton will play the object of Deed’s affections and Romijn a businesswoman who would rather focus on motherhood.
Best known for her appearances as Mystique in the X-Men films (though the role will be played by Jennifer Lawrence in the upcoming X-Men: First Class), Romijn was also a regular in the TV series “Ugly Betty” and “Eastwick,” among others.
