MI6, the premiere James Bond site on the ‘net, has gotten some interesting information about the currently-untitled James Bond 23, which is scheduled to start shooting this November for a November 2012 release.
Apparently, former cricket player Darren Gough was on a Virgin flight to Johannesburg, South Africa earlier today and he spotted director Sam Mendes and producer Barbara Broccoli en route there. Confirmation came from an equally odd source, actor Nigel Lindsay who was visited by Mendes on the set of the London production of “Shrek: The Musical” and was told he was heading off to prep for 007 shooting.
Of course, until someone actually spots the duo location scouting, this is all still rumor, but South Africa has long been rumored as a possible location for a Bond movie though 007 himself has never visited there. Word is that the 23rd outing for 007 will also be back filming at its regular homebase of Pinewood Studios.
