We were very excited to open a review copy of Scream Factory’s much-anticipated John Carpenter‘s The Thing Blu-ray Collector’s Edition, only to notice several audio gaffes during the movie. When we told a Scream representative about the glitches, they responded immediately that they were aware of an error in the manufacturing process, specifically audio issues at select scenes in the film. Ever conscious of quality control, Scream issued an official statement saying they are currently correcting this manufacturing error and — rather than release an inferior product — they are changing the street date from September 20 to October 11, 2016. Given the copious extras and gorgeous picture quality of the brand-new 2K scan, fans will find it well worth the wait!
