Though production on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 has been completed, post-production on the franchise’s last entry continues. Today, actress Emma Watson revealed (via her official site), that Hermione Granger’s final semester at Hogwarts is going to delay her own real-life studies just a bit. Her full message is as follows:
Hi everyone
As you know, I love Brown and I love studying pretty much more than anything but recently I’ve had so much to juggle that being a student AND fulfilling my other commitments has become a little impossible.
I’ve decided to take a bit of time off to completely finish my work on Harry Potter (the last one comes out this summer) and to focus on my other professional and acting projects. I will still be working towards my degree… its just going to take me a semester or two longer than I thought : )
Hope you are all well! Thank you for all your continuing support.
Emma xx
The good news for Watson’s fans is that it doesn’t sound like there will be much of a delay between the final Potter and future projects. Though it is known that the actress will next star in The Perks of Being a Wallflower opposite Logan Lerman, it’s possible that Watson’s break could point to another major project on the horizon.
Potter fans, meanwhile, have a new attraction to look forward to with the just-announced “Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter.” The walking tour is designed to allow visitors to go behind the scenes of the franchise’s original sets at the studios in Leavesden.
Tickets are set to go on sale at some point later this year, but interested guests are encouraged to visit the official site to register for updates. Here is also the attraction’s first poster:
