Louis Leterrier (Clash of the Titans, The Incredible Hulk) has signed on to direct Summit Entertainment’s Now You See Me, written by Boaz Yakin and Edward Ricourt. The film will be produced by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci via their Kurtzman Orci Paper Products production banner. Yakin will executive produce along with Kurtzman Orci Paper Products’ Bobby Cohen.
Erik Feig, Summit’s President of Production, stated, “Louis has pulled off the amazing feat of entertaining worldwide audiences more than a few times. We look forward to his continuing the streak on ‘Now You See Me’ with our friends at K/O Paper Products.”
Now You See Me pits a crack FBI squad in a game of cat and mouse against a super-team of the world’s greatest illusionists, who pull off a series of daring bank heists during their performances, showering the profits on their audiences while staying one step ahead of the law.
Feig as well as Michael Schaefer, Summit’s Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Co-Productions, and Ashley Schlaifer, Summit’s Creative Executive, will oversee the project for the studio.
