Susannah Grant, the writing talent behind Erin Brockovich, has come aboard a currently-in-development project from “Smallville” creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. According to Variety, the plan is to turn the life of Texas high school teacher Lynn Shaw into an inspirational biopic.
Shaw, who passed away in 2009, ran the theater department for Richardson, Texas’ J.J. Pearce High School and was famously loved by her students, including singer/actress Jessica Simpson who helped arrange a tribute last year that also set up a scholarship fun in Shaw’s honor.
Gough and Millar, who have their latest film, I Am Number Four hitting this week, will also team on this next project with co-producer Janice Tomlinm, once a student of Shaw’s.
