With composer David Arnold confirming his participation and that of Daniel Craig in Bond 23, Kate Winslet says her estranged husband Sam Mendes is still on board to direct as well.
Mail Online says the Oscar-winning filmmaker is expected to start filming the 23rd 007 installment towards the end of next year. Winslet says she will move to the UK with her children during that time so they can be close to their father.
“Sam is doing the next Bond film, all being well, and we’ll all be in England if that happens,” she said. “It’s such a massive commitment for him and it’s not fair for him to commute backwards and forwards to New York from London. It would be impossible. The children will be there with me.”
The site added that Mendes and producer Barbara Broccoli have had meetings over casting and Broccoli is said to have visited the play “Deathtrap” twice to see Simon Russell Beale perform, who is an old friend of Sam’s.
