Abigail Breslin (Zombieland) is in talks to join Lea Michele (“Glee”) in Garry Marshall’s New Year’s Eve, the spin-off to the director’s Valentine’s Day.
The New Line/Warner Bros. release will be set in New York and “follow intertwining stories of characters trying to navigate their way through romance on New Year’s Eve.”
Katherine Fugate is writing the script for the film, to be produced by Mike Karz and Wayne Rice.
The studio is eyeing a Dec. 9, 2011 release.
