Sandra Bullock looks likely to take the lead in Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity, reports Variety.
The science fiction film would potentially star Bullock as an astronaut who, on a mission with her colleague (to be played by Robert Downey Jr.). becomes stranded when an accident destroys their space station.
The female lead for Gravity has been long in contention, with rumored candidates that have included Scarlett Johansson, Angelina Jolie, Blake Lively, and Natalie Portman.
