Deadline is reporting that Ryan Gosling is negotiating to star in George Clooney’s Farragut North.
He would play a young communications director who works for a fast rising presidential candidate. During the course of the campaign, the idealistic young man falls prey to the backstabbing and other dirty trickery of more seasoned rivals.
The project is an adaptation of Beau Willimon’s critically-acclaimed play.
Filming is expected to start in March.
