Film Mode Entertainment has announced the Cannes World Market Premiere of Sugar Mountain, a spellbinding thriller about two brothers who fake a disappearance in the Alaskan wilderness so they’ll have a great survival story to sell. The film stars Jason Momoa (Aquaman, “Game of Thrones,” Conan the Barbarian) and Cary Elwes (Saw, Being Charlie, The Princess Bride). Other cast members include Anna Hutchison (Cabin in the Woods, “Spartacus”), Melora Walters (Magnolia, The Butterfly Effect), Drew Roy (“Falling Skies,” Secretariat) and Haley Webb (The Final Destination, “Teen Wolf”).
Sugar Mountain was written by Abe Pogos and directed by Richard Gray (The Lookalike, Summer Coda). Producers include Virginia Kay, Michele Gray, Jamie Houge, Richard Gray.
Filmed in the picturesque and rugged Alaskan wilderness, Sugar Mountain is the gripping story of two brothers, crippled by debt, who fake a disappearance in the Alaskan wilderness so they’ll have a great survival story to sell, but the hoax turns out to be more real than they planned.

Film Mode Entertainment is handling worldwide rights on the film and is presenting footage from Sugar Mountain to distributors in Cannes for the very first time.
