Ashley Judd will star in bank heist comedy Flypaper opposite Patrick Dempsey. Liv Tyler was previously attached to the role.
Variety says the film is “Judd’s first role after taking a year off to get her graduate degree at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and graduating less than a month ago.”
In the movie, a bank is robbed by two different groups of crooks at the same time. However, they both come under attack by a secret enemy (Dempsey), to save the bank teller whom he loves.
Filming starts in Baton Rouge next week. Tim Blake Nelson’s also starring as a bank robber.
Rob Minkoff will direct from a script by The Hangover team of Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. Peter Safran, Mark Damon and Dempsey are producing.
