Co-starring Will Forte (Nebraska, The Last Man on Earth), Method Man (The Cobbler, The Sitter), Gabrielle Union (Top Five, Think Like a Man Too), Tiffany Haddish, Jason Mitchell (Straight Outta Compton, Contraband), Luis Guzman (Boogie Nights, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island) and Nia Long (The Best Man Holiday, The Single Moms Club), Keanu star Key and Peele as Clarence and Rell, two cousins who live in the city but are far from streetwise. When Rell’s beloved kitten, Keanu (presumably named after the John Wick star), is catnapped, the hopelessly straight-laced pair must impersonate ruthless killers in order to infiltrate a street gang and retrieve the purloined feline. But the incredibly adorable kitten becomes so coveted that the fight over his custody creates a gang war, forcing our two unwitting heroes to take the law into their own hands.
Scripted by Alex Rubens and Peele, Keanu is directed by Peter Atencio, who has directed episodes of both Key & Peele and The Last Man on Earth. Warner Bros. will release the action-comedy on April 29.
If you haven’t already checked them out, be sure to watch both Red Band and Green Band versions of the Keanu movie trailer.
