Cary Elwes has been cast in a lead role for Paramount’s untitled Ivan Reitman comedy, starring Ashton Kutcher, Natalie Portman, Greta Gerwig, Kevin Kline, Ophelia Lovibond, Ben Lawson, Olivia Thirlby, Jake M. Johnson, Lake Bell and Guy Brannum.
Elwes will play a physician who works with Portman’s character and develops a flirtatious relationship.
The film centers on the question of whether two long-term friends can have a purely sexual relationship without falling in love.
Elizabeth Meriwether wrote the script for the January 7, 2011 release.
