Variety says that “Project Runway” mentor Tim Gunn has landed a live-action role in Sony’s The Smurfs.
Gunn will play an executive assistant at a major cosmetic company.
Raja Gosnell is directing the film, which is shooting in New York.
Gunn is Chief Creative Officer of Liz Claiborne.
