Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt to Co-Star in Musical Comedy

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stop-Loss co-stars and all-around good buddies Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt will join forces for an untitled R-rated musical comedy featuring two pilots.

Universal Pictures won a competitive studio bidding war for the project, which is being penned by screenwriter Michael Bacall (Project X) and produced by Marc Platt (Into the Woods) with the two stars. Bacall has a previous working relationship with all three principles, writing the 21 Jump Street movies with Tatum, Manic for Gordon-Levitt and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World for Platt.

You can see Tatum soft shoe it in this weekend’s Hollywood satire Hail, Caesar! while Gordon-Levitt previously put on a show-stopping song-and-dance routine for Marc Webb’s (500) Days of Summer.
