“The Office” star John Krasinski is in negotiations to join Ginnifer Goodwin in Alcon’s romantic comedy Something Borrowed, to be directed by Luke Greenfield.
Based on Emily Giffin’s 2005 debut novel, Something Borrowed centers on a Manhattan attorney (Goodwin) who becomes involved with her best friend’s fiance following her 30th birthday.
Alcon also picked up rights to the second book, “Something Blue,” with a plan to develop a sequel.
The Hollywood Reporter says Krasinski has signed a two-picture deal for a role that is more supporting in the first movie but which evolves into the male lead in the second one.
