Oscar-nominated The Messenger director/co-writer Oren Moverman is in negotiations direct and rewrite David Benioff’s script for Universal’s untitled Kurt Cobain project.
Material on the life, music and 1994 suicide of the Nirvana singer-songwriter will come at least partially from Charles R. Cross’ 2001 biography, “Heavier Than Heaven: A Biography of Kurt Cobain,” says Risky Business.
Eric Fellner, Tim Bevan and Graham Larson are producing. Cobain’s widow, Courtney Love, is an executive producer along with her lawyer Howard Weitzman.
