Stephen Norrington will write and may direct The Lost Patrol for Legendary Pictures, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The project is described as a supernatural action thriller set against the backdrop of World War II. The spec script was written by Andrew Hilton and Matt Cirulnick did a rewrite.
Norrington said the project hit all of his “geek-buttons” and contains “hardware, heroes, grime, insane monsters.”
Norrington’s credits include Blade and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. He is also currently in development on a new version of The Crow.
