Today Focus Features revealed the above first look at Insidous: Chapter 3, which sees screenwriter and supporting actor Leigh Whannell back not only writing and starring in the film, but this time behind the camera for his feature film debut. Also starring in the film are Dermot Mulroney, Stefanie Scott, Lin Shaye and Angus Sampson, the latter two along with Whannell reprising their roles from the first two movies in the franchise.
The announcement also tells us Insidious: Chapter 3 will be a prequel, predating the haunting of the Lambert family in the earlier movies, telling the tale of a teenage girl and her family terrorized by new mysteries of the otherworldly realm The Further.
The film hits theaters on May 29, 2015.
