Following the debut of the new (and disappointing) The Dark Knight Rises, Warner Bros. has released a flurry of six character posters for the film featuring Batman (Christian Bale), Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) and the film’s villain Bane (Tom Hardy).
Of the bunch, three of them have a bit of an oily, black tar rain feel to them, while the other three seem to be mimicking the bloody “Why So Serious?” Joker poster from The Dark Knight.
I don’t know, something about the marketing campaign for this film feels so redundant and bored as if they are just going through the motions, knowing anticipation is at an all-time high. Not that I blame them, a good marketing campaign or not, I don’t think it will hurt or help the film either way.
