Richard Jenkins will star opposite Julia Roberts in Eat, Pray, Love for Columbia Pictures, reports Variety.
Based on the international best-seller by Elizabeth Gilbert, the story centers on a married woman who embarks on a journey of self-discover after trying to get pregnant and realizing that shes not living the life she wants. Jenkins will play a Texan who Roberts’ character befriends at an Indian ashram.
Ryan Murphy will direct and wrote the screenplay. Brad Pitt and Dede Gardner are producing through their Plan B.
Filming begins in July and will take place in New York, Rome, India and Bali.
