Variety reports that Fox Atomic has signed a deal with independent video game developer Zombie Studios and production company Union Entertainment to develop Zombie’s original action property “Blacklight” as a feature film, comic book series and video game.
The property is described as a covert military action story set 25 years in the future.
The film and game will be written by Jason Dean Hall, whose credits include the upcoming Ashton Kutcher starrer Spread.
“We are excited by the huge potential ‘Blacklight’ has to succeed across multiple platforms,” said Fox Atomic president Debbie Liebling. “It offers us a remarkable franchise opportunity for film.”
