Kristin Scott Thomas and Anne-Marie Duff have joined the cast of artist-turned-filmmaker Sam Taylor-Wood’s debut feature Nowhere Boy, about the late former Beatle, John Lennon.
Variety says the film tells the story of Lennon’s childhood. Scott Thomas will play Lennon’s Aunt Mimi, while Duff will play his mother Julia.
Aaron Johnson will play Lennon, who was shot dead in December 1980.
The movie was written by Matt Greenhalgh. Filming will start in March on location in Liverpool, in the north of England, and at Ealing Studios in west London.
