Josh Brolin on Playing Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

For over three years, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been teasing its way to the inevitable fight between the Avengers and Thanos in 2018 and 2019’s two-part Avengers: Infinity War. Last year, Josh Brolin made his debut as the mad Titan in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy, giving us just a taste of his Thanos.

Over the weekend, ComingSoon.net/SuperHeroHype had a chance to talk with Brolin about his upcoming movie Sicario and we figured it could’t hurt to ask when he’s going to start getting ready to go “full Thanos,” whether that’s in the sequel to “Guardians” or for Infinity War (which presumably will start production shortly after the Russos finish next year’s Captain America: Civil War.)

You can watch his response in the video player below and while he couldn’t say exactly when we’ll see Thanos’ return, he did talk about his decision to take on a role that’s very different from anything we’ve seen from him before, mainly since he’ll be completely unrecognizable.

You can see more of our interview with Brolin and the rest of the cast of Sicario on ComingSoon.net before it opens in New York and Los Angeles on Friday, September 18.
