The same historic garage was used in 2013’s poorly-received Jobs, only now instead of being an indie production, this new biopic has the clout of Universal Studios behind it, not to mention Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire) behind the camera and stars Michael Fassbender (as Jobs) and Seth Rogen (as Wozniak) in front of it.
According to the report, the film will shoot in and around the Bay area through April. This is quite a miracle considering the chaos the project has been embroiled in, switching studios and going through a roster of leading men (Leonardo DiCaprio, Christian Bale, Tom Cruise) before landing on Fassbender.
Co-starring with Fassbender and Rogen are Katherine Waterston as Chrisann Brennan, Kate Winslet as Laurene Powell Jobs, Jeff Daniels as John Sculley, Michael Stuhlbarg as Andy Hertzfeld and Perla Haney-Jardine as Lisa Jobs.
Based on Walter Isaacson’s 2011 biography “Steve Jobs,” Universal’s currently untitled Jobs movie was written by Aaron Sorkin, while Scott Rudin, Mark Gordon and Guymon Casady produce.
