Mayor of Kingstown star Jeremy Renner has revealed whether he would come back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe if asked.
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Renner explained that he’s “always game” to return to Marvel, which was with him “all throughout this recovery.”
“I’m always game,” Renner said. “I’m going to be strong enough, that’s for sure. I’ll be ready. All those guys come to my bedside and they’ve been with me all along through this recovery, so… if they want me, they could have me. It would be something.”
Renner also gave an update on how far along his recovery is after being injured by a snow plow at the beginning of last year.
“[I’m doing] probably 90 percent of all the things I needed to be doing… I think another six months will be hopefully running [more]… I got to set goals for myself,” Renner stated. “I’ll do whatever I can… whatever it takes to get better, to get stronger. It’s a one-way street, this recovery. The rest of my life is about health and wellness. Recovery will be part of the rest of my life, so I look forward to it, man. There’s always something to do to get better, be stronger, be happier, be healthier, and that’s what I look forward to.”
What was the last Marvel project Jeremy Renner was in?
In the 2021 series Hawkeye, Jeremy Renner reprised his iconic role as Clint Barton, with the story introducing his fan-favorite protégé Kate Bishop, portrayed by Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld.
“The series is set in a post-blip New York City, where former Avenger Clint Barton aka Hawkeye has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas,” reads the official synopsis. “But when a threat from his past shows up, Hawkeye reluctantly teams up with Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old skilled archer and his biggest fan, to unravel a criminal conspiracy.”
