Quite a few major stars are part of The Last Showgirl, as the cast of Gia Coppola‘s upcoming film has added six to its roster.
Deadline has reported that Pamela Anderson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Dave Bautista, Billie Lourd, Brenda Song, and Kiernan Shipka are all part of the cast of the film, which recently wrapped its production. The Last Showgirl was written by Robert Schwartzman and produced by Natalie Farrey.
“I’ve always wanted to make a movie in Vegas,” Coppola said. “I’m so proud of our cast and crew, especially Pamela. I can’t wait to share her daring and heartfelt performance!”
“Dream project, dream cast,” Schwartzman stated. “We couldn’t be more honored and appreciative of the chance to tell an authentic Las Vegas story that pays homage to the iconic Showgirl, told through Gia’s unique sense of style and visual storytelling.”
What will The Last Showgirl be about?
The outlet states that the film will be about a showgirl in her 50s who is trying to figure out what to do next after her show ends following a 30-year run. Reportedly, the main character will also try to repair her relationship with her daughter, who “often took a backseat to her showgirl family.”
