Beetlejuice 2 star Jenna Ortega has talked about her experience filming the sequel to one of Tim Burton‘s most iconic movies.
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the Emmys last weekend, Ortega revealed that the film won’t be using much CGI. She also praised the cast and said filming was “some of the most fun I’ve ever had on a set.”
“I think we’re not using very much CGI or something like that at all,” Ortega stated. On the topic of the sequel’s cast, the actress said, “Everyone did an incredible job. I felt so lucky to be there, it was insane … I can’t wait for people to see.”
The upcoming Beetlejuice 2 serves as a sequel to 1988’s Beetlejuice, which was directed by Burton and starred Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O’Hara. Beetlejuice was a financial hit for Warner Bros. at the time of its release, making $74.7 million at the worldwide box office off a budget of $15 million.
