Star Trek: The Next Generation star Patrick Stewart has revealed that a Star Trek: Picard movie is currently in the works.
While appearing on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Stewart explained that he’s been told to expect a Star Trek: Picard movie script to make its way to him shortly, as it was being written with him in mind to once more star as the iconic captain.
“I heard, only last night, about a script that is being written with the actor, Patrick, to play in it [as Picard],” Stewart revealed. “I’ve been told to expect it within a week or so, and I’m so excited, because it sounds like the kind of project where the experimentation that I want to do will be essential for this kind of material.”

When did Star Trek: Picard end?
Star Trek: Picard Season 3 began airing on February 16, 2023, while the finale debuted on April 20, 2023. It starred Patrick Stewart, Jeri Ryan, Michelle Hurd, and Ed Speleers. Akiva Goldsman and Terry Matalas executive produced the series in addition to serving as showrunners. Executive producers were Alex Kurtzman, Michael Chabon, and Doug Aarniokoski.
