A brand new Dune: Part Two photo from Legendary’s upcoming sci-fi action sequel has been unveiled through Empire Magazine, featuring a new look at Austin Butler and Léa Seydoux’s characters. The photo shows Butler’s Feyd-Rautha and Seydoux’s Lady Margot staring at each other, which seemingly hints at the pair’s relationship.
Dune: Part Two Gets Delayed By Ongoing Strike
Last week, it was officially confirmed that Warner Bros. has pushed back the theatrical release date of Dune: Part Two due to the ongoing actors’ strike, which would prevent its star-studded cast from promoting the movie. Originally slated for a November 3, 2023 debut, the sequel will now be arriving in theaters on March 15, 2024.
“This follow-up film will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family,” reads the synopsis. “Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.”
Dune: Part Two is once again being directed by Denis Villeneuve. The returning cast includes Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, and Stephen McKinley Henderson. Joining them are Christopher Walken as Emperor Shaddam IV, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha, Léa Seydoux as Lady Margot, and Souheila Yacoub as Shishakli.
Upon release, the first film went on to garner critical acclaim from fans and critics alike. It also racked up a whopping 10 Academy Award nominations. It won six of them, including Best Original Score and Best Cinematography.
