Fanhome announced on Friday that it would be releasing a build-up model car of the iconic DMC DeLorean, the car used as a time machine in the Back to the Future film franchise.
The DMC DeLorean is fully illuminated and features working doors
The car is a 1:8 scale die-cast metal model and features multiple assembly stages that click and screw together. The car model measures 21 inches long and is fully customizable, including gull-wing doors, a trunk that opens, illuminated dashboard readings, working headlights, brake lights, interior lights, and more.
Fans looking to picking up the car model will have to subscribe to Fanhome’s service in order to do so. The company operates on a subscription model, with subscribers receiving a package each month that contains multiple assembly stages of whatever model fans are building.
The first package includes two assembly stages and the second contains four, with all subsequent packages containing five assembly stages. Each package also comes with a detailed book with step-by-step instructions for how to build the model, as well as some facts, interviews with the Back to the Future cast and crew, and more.
Subscribers will also receive various gifts throughout the lifetime of the subscription, including a replica of the “OUTTA TIME” license plate, a Back to the Future t-shirt, a magazine binder, and three posters. A premium subscription is also available that includes a special display base for the car.
