Earlier this week, widespread wildfires began taking place across the Island of Maui. In the ensuing fires, more than 1,300 people have been displaced, with 55 people tragically passing away in the fires. As of Thursday, 11,000 people still reportedly had no power, and one specific area on Maui, Lahaina, has been nearly fully burnt down in the fires.
Other celebrities have also begun raising awareness of the wildifres. This week, Oprah Winfrey arrived on Maui and began buying items from supermarkets in an effort to help people have supplies. Actress Connie Britton has also taken to Instagram to share her thoughts on the wildfires as well.
