Ahead of the first movie‘s release on August 2, TMNT: Mutant Mayhem 2 and a TV series based in the film’s universe have been announced.

Variety has revealed that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem sequel is in the works, as well as a two-season Paramount+ series that will serve as a bridge between the first movie and the sequel. TMNT: Mutant Mayhem 2 is being produced Point Grey Pictures and directed by Mutant Mayhem co-writer and director Jeff Rowe, while Chris Yost and Alan Wan will be serving as showrunners and executive producers on the Paramount+ show.
“In the nearly 40 years since Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles launched into the zeitgeist, it has entertained generations of fans and only continues to grow,” Paramount and Nickelodeon chief Brian Robbins said. “We are excited to grow TMNT’s legacy in partnership with Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg at Point Grey, and Jeff Rowe, who are innovating the franchise with their singular brand of humor and elevated storytelling for audiences everywhere, across virtually every platform.”
“Reinvigorating this franchise has been years in the making, and we are thrilled to continue expanding the beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe and bringing new adventures to families and fans,” President of Paramount Animation & Nickelodeon Animation Ramsey Naito stated.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem features the voices of Micah Abbey as Donatello, Shamon Brown Jr. as Michaelangelo, Nicolas Cantu as Leonardo, and Brady Noon as Raphael. Joining them is a star-studded supporting cast which includes Hannibal Buress as Genghis Frog, Rose Byrne as Leatherhead, John Cena as Rocksteady, Jackie Chan as Splinter, Ice Cube as Superfly, Natasia Demetriou as Wingnut, Ayo Edebiri as April O’Neil, Giancarlo Esposito as Baxter Stockman, Post Malone as Ray Fillet, Seth Rogen as Bebop, Paul Rudd as Mondo Gecko, and Maya Rudolph as Cynthia Utrom.
Jeff Rowe and Kyle Spears are directing the film from a screenplay Rowe co-wrote with Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Dan Hernandez, and Benji Samit. Producers are Rogen, Goldberg, and James Weaver, with Ramsay McBean and Josh Fagen serving as executive producers.
