During Netflixâs Tudum event, a new Lift release date was released for the Kevin Hart-led heist comedy movie.
When is the new Lift release date?
Originally scheduled to release in August 2023, the new Lift release date is set as the movie will make its Netflix debut on January 12, 2024.
âAn international heist crew is recruited to prevent a terrorist attack, and must pull off the heist on a plane mid-flight,â reads the movieâs synopsis.
Lift is directed by F. Gary Gray from a screenplay written by Daniel Kunka and Jeremy Donner. Joining Hart and Mbatha-Raw in Lift are Vincent DâOnofrio, Billy Magnussen, Ărsula CorberĂł, Kim Yoon-ji, Viveik Kalra, Paul Anderson, Sam Worthington, Jacob Batalon, Jean Reno, and Burn Gorman.
Lift is executive produced by Gray, Brent OâConnor, and Patricia Braga, with Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon for Genre Pictures, Matt Reeves and Adam Kassan for 6th & Idaho, and Hart and Brian Smiley for HartBeat Productions serving as producers.
This marks Hartâs latest collaboration with Netflix after working together in films like the comedy-drama Fatherhood and the buddy comedy Me Time, as well as in the variety special Kevin Hartâs Guide to Black History. Mbatha-Raw also previously appeared in the popular San Junipero episode of Netflixâs Black Mirror series.
