Prime Video Schedule January 2-8: New TV & Movies

One of 2022’s biggest blockbusters is part of the Prime Video schedule for January 2-8.

On Friday, January 6, the streaming service will add Jurassic World Dominion to its available content. Colin Trevorrow directed the movie from a screenplay he co-wrote with Emily Carmichael, based on a story by the first two Jurassic World films’ scribes Derek Conolly and Trevorrow. Executive producers were Trevorrow, Steven Spielberg, and Alexandra Derbyshire. The movie earned more than $1 billion during its theatrical run.

Jurassic World Dominion featured the return of Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, Daniella Pineda, Justice Smith, and BD Wong. Joining them are original Jurassic Park stars Laura Dern, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, and Campbell Scott. The third Jurassic World installment also introduced new characters, portrayed by Mamoudou Athie, DeWanda Wise, Dichen Lachman, Scott Haze, and Isabella Sermon.

Jurassic World Dominion is a bold, timely, and breathtaking new adventure that spans the globe,” says the official synopsis. “The film takes place four years after Isla Nublar has been destroyed. Dinosaurs now live—and hunt—alongside humans all over the world. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history’s most fearsome creatures.”
