ComingSoon.net had the chance to speak with the creative multihyphenate at the junket for his latest film, The Book of Life. You can check out his thoughts on voicing the animated Candle Maker (along with insights from the rest of the film’s cast) right here and, in the player below, watch as Ice Cube explains the importance of doing family films now and then and details the efforts he went to to prevent a temporal paradox!
In Straight Outta Compton, hitting theaters August 14, 2015, Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr., plays his father opposite Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, Aldis Hodge, Neil Brown Jr. and Paul Giamatti, telling the true story of N.W.A.’s meteoric rise and fall.
